About Ava Gardner:
One of the most recognizable figures of the Golden Age of Hollywood, Ava Gardner, was a bold and independent woman whose breakout role in the 1946 film noir "The Killers" cemented her place in the movie industry and helped pave the way for her long entertainment career. Her life through the 1940s and 1950s was a highly publicized one due to her hot-topic relationships. Her major move abroad to Spain and later, the UK, could at least partially be credited to her craving for liberation and privacy from the scrutiny of Hollywood.
