Peggy Lee was one of the most influential voices of the 20th century - a trailblazing singer, songwriter, and cultural icon. Over her seven-decade career, she wrote more than 270 songs, recorded over 1,100 masters, and scored over 100 chart hits. As one of the first female contemporary singer-songwriters, she paved the way for artists who write, perform, produce, and manage their own careers. She co-wrote and sang many of her own hits, including “He’s a Tramp” for Disney’s Lady and the Tramp. Her signature songs—“Fever,” “I’m a Woman,” “Is That All There Is?” and “Black Coffee” remain timeless classics.
