Recently, a niche style of content stumbled onto the “FYP” of our TikTok account and has been a staple in day-to-day life ever since – Vintage Recipe Recreations.

There is something immensely pleasurable about watching and learning about what the generations before us cooked, baked, and enjoyed in their day-to-day lives. Quite a few creators do it so addictingly well that there have been multi-hour gaps of time spent just ingesting video after video and, of course, planning which ones to try at home (and never getting around to doing so).

With the most delicious throwback voiceover styling and an overall atmosphere showcasing the recipes enjoyed by our grandparents and their parents, you will never want to leave once you find your way there.

Time Capsule Cafe:
Continuing our exploration of this delightful corner of the internet, Time Capsule Cafe is a TikTok account making its way through her mom’s vintage recipe collection.

SpiritedLA:
Hannah Chamberlain makes original cocktail recipes but does so with such a vintage flair. Her website features these recipes, cocktail history, and even a feature called “Great Drinkers Through History!”

Jessica Furniss:
Jessica is a drink creator with a knack for themes. She’s got a series of drinks inspired by Jazz classics that is just too charming to ignore.

Tasting History:
Max Miller shares the most fascinating history of food and drinks that you definitely didn’t learn in high school history class. He even has a cookbook coming out next year under the same name – Tasting History.

Lovely on the Inside:
Lovely on the Inside is a TikTok account creating drinks inspired by iconic historical figures such as Vivian Leigh, Dolly Parton, and Marie Antoinette. These videos are so whimsically peaceful.
